It is His way — in every way — in every day

In my early years it seemed as if Jesus silently watched over my stressed-out life. He knew my path and pace of living was not in His plan so He picked the most teachable time to slow me down, so I would walk behind Him as He led the way.

Since then, the Lord has given me some valuable insight on how to deal with inner turmoil in the midst of difficult situations in my alone time spent studying the Bible. If we want to know how to live the Christian life, we need to understand Who's we are, and Who we are in. We have so much more available to us through the blessing of understanding God's Word by the power of the Holy Spirit being made manifest in the surrendered life of a believer.

James 1:5, 12, 22
If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, Who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him. Do not merely listen to the Word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. (And then at the end of vs 27 we are instructed) to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

Years ago, God exposed that my failure to pass life's trials and testing was the result of not applying His teachings to my life, which was due to my neglecting His Word. That is why I felt the silence of God. Although I was born again in Christ, I was not living in Christ, which means operating in the Holy Spirit. I thought I only needed Him for Salvation and life's difficulties, but as time has passed I realized I needed Him for everything pertaining to life.

Through Christ's intervention I soon became aware His being First and my most important Love, and that I needed to change my priorities from self, to seeking Him with all of my heart, mind and strength. Which included putting Him before everything in my life such as my thoughts, motives for doing what I do, in exchange for a lifetime of His purpose. My life is now content with prayer, meditation on God's Truths, trusting Him by faith, waiting for His promised Holy Spirit to minister to mine, listening for His still small voice, endeavoring to stay alert each waking moment in hopes I will have His wisdom leading me forward through everyday conflicts and difficulties. Anything less, we find our efforts are futile and vainly wasted.

Psalm 62:5-6
My soul waits silently for God alone, for my expectation is from Him. He only is my Rock and my Salvation; He is my Defense; I shall not be moved.

I realize we all have those days when we feel like we just can't take another bump or stumble in the path of life. That is why I encourage you to slow down and take life's situations and thoughts captive in prayerful consideration to God's Word in order to see The Way through to His Glory... it may take awhile, wait patiently, and do not give up on your education that gives the godly wisdom to trust God by faith in life's distresses. When your head knowledge finally settles into your heart, you will sincerely believe that He can do the impossible according to His good intention. At that moment in time you will know God has taken hold of your life and worked in you, and through you everything you were unable to do or comprehend without Him. He has done for me many impossible wonderful miracles, such as taking me from the misery of fear, worry, settling for mediocre, receiving mistreatment and offences, only to replace my old lifestyle with a much happier and healthier lifestyle that continues to improve the deeper I get to know God.

We have choices in our life and it is up to us to seek the right ones in Christ, by choosing to live by faith, trusting our lives with all its concerns to the Truth of God's Spirit Breathed WORD.

In closing, I remember one morning during prayer, God ministered to my spirit through the His Holy Spirit and I heard, "Nicole if you have my Word in you then My Spirit is also in you, with you, and will be manifested through you into everything you think, say, and do." Isn't that awesome! That is why I fill my time getting to know God through studying the Bible. And even though there is still a lot of work to do in me, I have learned to welcome the challenges of my life, by daily making the personal choices to obey God, to pick up my cross, and to be a woman living for Jesus.
